Rivian was the first company to roll out an electric pickup two years ago. The first original model was sent to the customers in September 2021, the new model features four-wheel drive, 835 Hp, a range of up to 400 miles, and a 908 lb-ft torque. The truck can load up to 1,760 pounds and tow up to 11,000 pounds. It also has ample storage including a gear tunnel (gear tunnel is storage that runs through the body of the car), and a collapsible camp kitchen. Along with practical capabilities, the RT1T features WiFi and LTE, Bluetooth, surround sound speakers, vegan leather seats, and a stunning panoramic roof, and it is available in 9 colors. This car is a luxury vehicle and will cost you nearly $80,000. Rivian also plans to release a new pickup truck model in Fall 2023.

2) GMC Hummer EV pickup

This car came out at the end of 2021 with a price of $112,000. Hummer EV comes with high tech with a Bose surround sound system, a panoramic roof with UV protection, 18 HD surround vision cameras, and two HD touch screens in the front interior. The car was designed for off-road purposes and has tough armor on its underside, dynamic suspension, and the ability to crab walk hence allowing it to traverse rough spots. The Hummer EV has an over 350-mile range, up to 1,000 HP, up to 11,000 lb-ft torque, a payload of about 1,300 lbs, and a towing range of around 7,500 lbs.

3) Ford F-150 lightning

 Ford has four updated versions of its F-150 Lightning EV pickups. The two more affordable options– the 2023 F-150 Lightning Pro ($55,974+), and the 2023 F-150 Lightning XLT ($63,474+) are both currently sold out due to high demand. However, the 2023 F-150 Lightning LARIAT ($74,474+) and the 2023 F-150 Lightning Platinum ($96,874+) are still available to order.

i) F-150 Lightning LARIAT

The F-150 Lightning LARIAT has an EPA-Estimated Range of up to 320 miles, up to 7,700lb towing range, a 775 lb-ft torque, between 462 horsepower and 580 horsepower, and a 2,235 lb payload capacity. The truck comes with a built-in 15.5-inch touchscreen, enhanced voice recognition for hands-free access, a 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, and much more. Additionally, the truck features driving assist features like adaptive cruise control and lane centering. It also has a convenient tailgate that can open and close with the touch of a button.

ii) F-150 Lightning Platinum

The F-150 Lightning Platinum has an EPA-Estimated Range of up to 300 miles, up to 8,500lb towing range, a 775 lb-ft torque, up to 580 horsepower, and around  2,000 lb payload capacity. Along with the same touchscreen and voice recognition tech as the LARIAT, the Platinum has hands-free driving and sleek leather seats that have ventilation and heating. The Platinum also has technology to assist you with towing like a 360-degree towing cam, a camera to help you reverse while towing, and a trailer brake controller.

4) Chevrolet Silverado EV

This is the first fully electric vehicle from Chevrolet fleets and it will be available in the fall of 2023. The truck looks a lot like any other full-sized pickup on the road. The truck features a 17” display screen with Google Built-in and hands-free driving technology. The car also has a tailgate that can be folded down into a step or folded up into a workstation— it can also be extended to accommodate a longer load (up to 10 feet). The truck will have up to 10,000 towing capacity, a 785 lb.-ft. of Torque and 754 Horsepower. It has an incredible 400-mile range and will have a starting cost of around $39,000.

5) Tesla Cybertruck

Tesla is one of the reputable EV companies, therefore its pickup is one of the sleekest pickups you will get in the market. The truck has up to 3,500 pounds of payload capacity, can tow over 14,000 pounds, has over 500 miles range, 800 horsepower, and around 1,000 lb-ft torque. Among other things, the truck features a 17” touchscreen with a customized user interface, 100 cubic feet of exterior storage, onboard power and compressed air, and a spacious interior that seats six. The Tesla Cybertruck is slated to come out in mid-2023 and is expected to have a starting cost of $50,000.

 6) Ram 1500 Electric

Ram has been slower to the EV game than its competitors by a couple of years, but it is planning on releasing the Ram 1500 Electric truck sometime in 2024. The price of the truck is unknown. There’s a lot to consider when shopping for a new work truck. If you’re into the high-tech luxury work truck, it might be worth it to splurge now.

It is built on Stellantis’ new STLA Frame platform, it’ll be available in two guises, either a 168kWh battery pack with a range of up to 350 miles, or a 229kWh unit with up to 500 miles of range. Up to 110 miles of additional range is achievable in 10 minutes if you can find yourself a 350kW fast charger, with 645bhp, 620 lb-ft of torque, and a 0-60 mph time of 4.4 seconds.

But that’s not all, with the Ram 1500 REV also boasting a 1,225kg payload capacity, 6,350 towing ability, and 610mm wading capability, plus vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-home and vehicle-to-grid bi-directional charging.

7) Bollinger B2 pickup

 The Bollinger B2 has a beautiful, elevated -classic design. Bollinger claims that the sleek, black pickup truck was designed for the ultimate utilitarian purpose. It has a six-foot bed that can carry 16-foot cargo through a vehicle-length passthrough with a gate, lockable front storage, removable doors, and all-wheel drive. The Bollinger B2 has an impressive 614 Horsepower, a 5,000-pound payload capacity, can tow up to 7,500 pounds, and around a 200-mile range. The truck will cost around $125,000– when it becomes available.

8) Canoo Pickup

Canoo is an American startup that started up in 2019. The multi-purpose delivery pickup was next on the list- Canoo pickup. This looks like the VW type 2 pickups with a two-foot pull-out extension, a front cargo storage area that can hold tools or gear along with a fold-down worktable with electrical outlets, flip-down side workbenches, hidden side steps, storage areas, and more.

Canoo says it’ll be available in dual or rear motor configurations, up to 600bhp and 500 lb-ft of torque, 816kg payload, and around 200 miles of battery range.
