Fisker has confirmed that a prototype of the sports car will be rolled out in August 2023. Production is slated to begin the following year, though delays are a real possibility in the current environment. Before the arrival of the sports car, Fisker will launch the Ocean crossover. Pricing is confirmed to start at $37,499.

The car is an all-electric sport Grand Tourer, with the battery pack integrated into its vehicle structure. The company is designing and engineering Project Ronin to deliver the longest range of a production EV with the ultimate high performance.

Henrik Fisker, founder, and CEO of Fisker Inc. targeted a range of more than 550 miles. It is not quite as far as the long-awaited Tesla Roadster, which has a 620-mile range. Whether that signals a shift just in the design statement, or whether it means in actual pricing, the current iteration of Fisker has been focused on more affordable vehicles.

Before the arrival of the sports car, Fisker will launch the Ocean crossover. The Tesla Model Y rival is undergoing its final tests ahead of the start of production at a Magna Steyr plant in Austria this November. U.S. deliveries will follow shortly after, with the first Oceans to arrive as 2023 models. Pricing is confirmed to start at $37,499.

Fisker will then launch a more affordable model code-named Project Pear. This model also thought to be a crossover, is confirmed to start at $29,990. It will be built at a Foxconn plant in Ohio, with production slated to start in 2024.

Fisker reports that it has more than 40,000 reservations for its Ocean, and it says that there will be no price changes on the Ocean through 2023.  Fisker plans a prototype form of the sports car in August 2023, with production due in the second half of 2024.
