2021 Jaguar I-Pace update on technology and charging

Few years back the luxurious SUV was introduced to the market, this is the first EV in the Jaguar brand. The infotainment system and improved charging capabilities have been updated as well as additional colors for the EV and trim package . The I-pace is set for 2021.

The infotainment will be equipped with a new software system which is named Pivi Pro,that is already on the Land Rover Defender.  The automaker says that the system was inspired by the intuitive nature of smartphones, so, for instance, it reduces the number of steps needed to access the navigation system. The updated software also helps drivers locate chargers while out on the road.

According to Stephen Boulter, vehicle engineering manager for the I-Pace, said when releasing a statement that the Pivi Pro system is capable of showing where charging stations are and can tell if the stations are available ,cost and estimated charge time.

Charging capability for the 2021 I-pace has also been updated, through improving the onboard charger to 11 kW, up from 7 kW for quicker at-home charging overnight. With this new system, a full charge can be achieved in a claimed 8.6 hours, versus 12.6 hours before.The I-Pace gets several tech updates for 2021, including an optional wireless device charger that boosts cellphone signals and a complimentary 4G data plan. A new camera system has been integrated into the vehicle that gives a 360-degree view of the car.

Bright Pack is among the additional that will be available in the 2021 Jaguar I-pace, the pack is  purely aesthetic package that includes chrome detailing around the vehicle, plus Atlas Gray door mirror caps and rear diffuser, among other slight changes to the appearance of the vehicle.

The exact unveiling date has not been set and the coat but the current model starts at $70,875.
